1912-1921

远离家乡的家

At the turn of the last century, 在中国东部开拓美国家庭的学校选择是一所英国男校, 朱厄尔小姐走读学校(连传教士都说它是原教旨主义学校), or a 4-6 week open ocean voyage back to the U.S. 为了满足需求, 九个美国在中国的代表团一起进行调查，因此在上海建立一所美国学校的计划诞生了.

From its inception, 云顶国际 was a little piece of America for expats in China.  In the era following the Qing dynasty, 外籍人士不仅是企业高管，还有传教士，他们希望自己的孩子与祖国保持联系. 

9月17日, 1912, 云顶集团游戏平台的第一个校区在虹口四川北路的一座维多利亚式住宅里向38名走读生和寄宿生敞开了大门, with the original gate shown here on the right. A place you’d love to go back in time and see, except for the lack of air conditioning and running hot water.

学生生活

By 1917, enrollment had grown to 150 students, enough to conduct that most sacred of A茶花会 institutions – 体育.  云顶国际 boys competed with YMCA and even US military teams in football, 棒球, and soccer (the other football), 女孩们在打篮球时还得穿着灯笼裤. 

Student clubs also sprouted from the start, 包括欢乐合唱团, the enticingly-named Good Times Club, 和雅典娜神庙, a high s公立学校 club to promote intellectual culture and public debate. 像今天, these students enjoyed the freedom of not having a dress code, although ballroom dancing was strictly not allowed in the dorms.

1922-1931

增长与乐观

扩张

After graduating the first class of 5 boys and 2 girls in 1917, 这所学校, which had already been spilling over into other temporary facilities, began to plan the building of (and fund raising for) a more permanent home. 1923年，我们在衡山路(当时的贝当大道)开设了第一个专门建造的校园，成为战前校友们美好回忆的来源.

传统

1932-1941

Expats on vacation and unable to return to S作为. State Department evacuation orders. Few and expensive tickets back to America. This familiar story, of course, defined the decade leading up to the U.S. entry to the Second World War.

1942-1951

The fourth decade of S作为 A茶花会 S公立学校 was the most tumultuous, starting with the days following Pearl Harbor in Japanese-occupied S作为. Although officially 这所学校 suspended operations, in actuality it continued to hold classes, though in different locations and under various names, thereby earning this period the “bootleg” designation. 如果不是一位老师的决心，这可能是云顶国际的终结. 

弗兰克·切尼

战后

The post-war years ushered 云顶国际 back onto campus, 具有讽刺意味的是，在超过25个国家的学生群体中，美国人是少数, including a few “stateless” nations that were no longer recognized. 1980-1989

复兴

1990-1999

一个新家

With students representing 20 countries and growing out of middle s公立学校, it’s no surprise 云顶国际 was once more struggling with space by mid 1990s. 当高中男生住在一所中国女子学校的租来的校园里变得尴尬时, 这所学校 decided to repeat its 1920s history and purpose build a campus. 2000-2022

As we look back on the 110 years since its founding, we recognize that across the decades many lives have shaped 云顶国际, which has in turn has shaped many more lives. We move into the future bearing the legacy of the past.  And in time, we will become a legacy to those who follow. 

愿景变成现实

With the luxury of not having to worry about moving, 在过去的20多年里，云顶国际的各个领导者已经能够创造出可以说是同类中最好的程序和设施. 云顶国际于2000年推出IB课程，成为为数不多的同时提供IB和AP课程的学校之一.

接下来的十年见证了微校园和创新学院等标志性项目的出现. 新体育馆, 水上运动中心, 每个校区都有一个黑盒剧院和一个表演艺术中心，这意味着云顶国际的设施可以与小型学院相媲美. 最重要的是, 云顶国际早年专注于招聘顶级教师，这使其有能力吸引全球最优秀的教育工作者.
